It had to happen

So Katie and Sarah have a power wheels race car that they have finally taken to driving.... Katie was taking the car for a spin and she scratched my new car!!!!! GRRRR Only 5 and already dammaging mommys car. Its just a scratch and Jim assures me it will buff out but still!!!!!!

Heard around the house

I had Sarah on my shoulders yesterday and she was playing with my hair- all of a sudden she goes MOMMY WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR HAIR!! ITS ALL WHITE!! Guess its time for another dye job.....

Beautiful Weather

On Saturday it was gorgeous here so we bundled the kids and the dog and headed downtown to the new riverwalk. We all had a good time checking out the river and the new walkway. Here are some pics from our walk -enjoy!

Climbing out of a rut

So I am trying to climb out of rut that I have fallen into. Its so much easier to sit on my butt and surf the internet or watch tv then it is to do other things. So today I finally felt better (had been under the weather due to sinus crud) and I decided to turn over a new leaf. The girls are loving it I think becuase we have done a lot together today. I did their nails (toe and finger) and they loved it. We also cleaned together down stairs and they worked out with me - yes I even worked out...... Hopefully this trend will continue and I wont fall back into this rut.....

1 legged Mangoes

Sarah was sitting in my lap the other day and kept asking me if I liked Mangoes. then she kept telling me that mangoes stand on one leg... After a few minutes I finally figured out it wasnt Mangoes she liked but rather FLAMINGOS......

My new apprentice

Katie has really been growing up lately and she has taken to coming to the kitchen when I am getting dinner ready and asking to help. I have been letting her help with measuring and mixing stuff for dinner and she has really taken to it.... The other nite she told me When I grow up, I am gonna be a Chef just like you Mommy. I tried to explain that I am not a chef I just like cooking dinner. She replied - Mommy, you ARE A Chef- you are OUR Chef....

Well ok then.

Growing up....

Things are a changing in the Folmar household..... I can't believe our girls are growing up. In one way I am glad to be done with certain things, but on the other hand I am sad that they are growing up. Right now as I right this they are being entertained with old episodes of Full house. They have also started watching stuff like Hannah Montana and tween movies on Disney and Mary Kate and Ashley movies. No longer do we watch Dora and Diego. In a way it makes me sad. Dont get me wrong I am happy not to hear the lines of Go Diego Go and Im the map, I m the map, Im the MAP!!!!

But its an end of part of their childhood and enforces the fact that they are growing up.... Before Jim and I know it they will be going to dances and out on dates....... I guess the old adage Time waits for no one is so true.....
