Tis the Season

We have had alot of holiday related events the last few days....Friday nite we took a ride on the Polar Express. This year we did it through the alumni association from Penn college. It was really nice- the college had their own car and they served milk and cookies. they tell the story of the polar express and then conductor comes around and punches your ticket. then it goes to the montoursville airport and picks up Santa. Santa then comes through every car and stops to visit the kids. My kids acted as I expected. Both were shy and I would say Sarah was even a bit scared. Santa also brought some friends of his- the gingerbread boy, frosty and rudolph. Poor Jim. he must have had permanent grooves in his shoulder from Sarah burying her head in to him..... She was not a friend of santas friends! Katie made me laugh out loud. After they went past she grabbed my hand and said Momma- DEMS not real! Dem is costumes!

On Sunday we made christmas cookies.... Yummy....Pictures will follow.. Lets just say Sarah is not a fan of being neat.... But the best part of the day was after we were done and Katie came up and grabbed my leg and hugged it and said Momma I had such fun- thanks so much for making cookies with us..... Moments like that make it all worth it....

Tonite was Katies's pre-school concert. She did great. Aunt Michele got a preview on the phone tonite when she called and she seemed to really enjoy it..... I took lots of pics and will have them to share soon.....Katie was thrilled after the performance because her teacher - Miss Lindsay gave out fruit flavored candy canes ( Miss K is not a fan of mint) and she got her favorite color- blue!

Tomorrow nite is our nite to make our gingerbread house.... should be fun!
